About Jo

Joanna’s love of music was apparent from a young age.     Her formal music            

experience began at age 6 when she attended Yamaha Music Classes.

Jo’s passion for music and music education continued to grow and with it her

passion to nurture others in the making and enjoyment of music.

Joanna graduated Bachelor of Music (Honours), majoring in Clarinet performance. She continued to complete a Graduate Certificate of Education (Orff Music Education), Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary Music), Master of Education (Special Education, Inclusion and Early Intervention) and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. She also successfully completed course work in the Kodaly music education

Jo has been teaching Music to children in a variety of contexts for over 20 years, including 10 years of classroom, choral and instrumental music at Xavier College.  

JoJo’s Music for Kids commenced in 2015.  Jo designs and delivers Music programs to children, especially in Hawthorn.  Her programs  actively engage students in a fun atmosphere,  inspiring, students and

involving parents. Jo caters for individual needs whilst providing a group Music experience.

She is especially committed to Early Years Music education and studants with special needs..
